Members of the Tobacco Road Marathon Team gathered with Duke Medicine to present $20,000 to Triangle Rails to Trails Conservancy and $10,000 to The Wounded Warrior Project.  The race also presented $5,000 at an earlier date to the Red Cross to be directed to the Haitian relief fund.

Welcome to North Carolina's newest marathon! The Tobacco Road Marathon will be the first of its kind in NC to embrace the town of Cary and country roads of western Wake County. The marathon will also feature over 20 miles of the American Tobacco Trail and the Half Marathon over 7 miles on the American Tobacco Trail.
